The Instructional Technology Coordinator, also serving as the district’s Communications Specialist, plays a key role in supporting the Technology Department by overseeing and coordinating projects that enhance the district's communications efforts. This work helps further the district’s mission and upholds its core values.

The Instructional Technology Coordinator’s responsibilities related to communications include the following:

• strategic communication planning,
• assist district administration with community engagement (e.g., events, surveys, etc.)
• assist district administration with crisis communication/emergency and planning,
• assist district administration with media relations,
• assist district administration with staff recognition,
• branding,
• chair communications committee,
• development of press releases and news features,
• manage district notification systems,
• social media, video production, and web development
