While half of all lifetime cases of mental illness begin by age 14, it’s important to note that ALL of us, students and adults alike, will encounter challenges with our mental health from time to time. In addition, we can ALL make a positive difference in the lives of those around us.  The research shows that the number one protective factor in a child’s life is enduring connections to caring, supportive adults.  We believe it is important to create safe, positive, and supportive learning environments for all students. We care about our students’ academic achievement, but more importantly, we value their mental health and overall well-being!
