Back To School
2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
A Message From Our Superintendent
As I begin my second year as your superintendent, I am excited to welcome every student and family to the upcoming school year. Whether your child is joining us for the first time or returning, we look forward to partnering with you to make this a year filled with learning, growth, and success.
Online registration for returning students families will open on Monday, July 27. New students to the district can be registered during in person registration, August 11-13. This year, all families, both returning and new, will be asked to provide proof of residency during the registration process. Additional information is provided below.
Our theme for the 2026–2027 school year is "Moving Forward. Together."
This theme reflects our belief that education is a shared journey. When families, educators, administrators, support staff, and community members work together as partners, students benefit the most. Together, we celebrate successes, navigate challenges, and support every student as they grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
By encouraging one another, maintaining open communication, and working together toward common goals, we create an environment where every child can thrive and continue moving forward toward a bright future.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We look forward to celebrating new milestones, creating lasting memories, and continuing to move forward—together—for the success of every student.

All new students/new families to the district must register in person. While only one application will need to be completed for all students, which can be done in one of our buildings, you will need to visit each student’s building office to provide all required documentation. The district has scheduled some in person registration days (August 11-13, 2026) for your convenience. If you are not able to come on one of these days, please call and schedule a time to register all of your students and visit each building that your students will attend. When you visit each building’s office you will be required to provide documentation on this day.
The following items will be required to fully complete the enrollment process with each building. Please gather the information below before coming to register your student(s).
- Email Address - There are many free options such as Google and Outlook available on the web.
- Phone Number - A house number and/or cell phone number for contact purposes.
- CURRENT Proof of Residency - could be notarized Affidavits of Residency, lease agreement, current utility bill, or similar

- Additional Items, if Applicable. The following items should be brought if applicable to your student(s): Court Documents, Proof of Guardianship, Divorce Decree/Parenting Plan, DFS Placement Papers (foster care), etc.
If any of the above items are missing, your application will be placed on hold until they are received.
Once all items are received, the enrollment will be processed, and information will be forwarded to the building administration or counselors to set up a schedule as quickly as possible. The building secretary or principal will contact you to confirm enrollment.

When changes occur they are board approved and announced to district families and patrons via our district website, social media, and ParentSquare.
Communications
Our district uses ParentSquare, a unified mass communications system, for school communication and emergency alerts, primarily through email, text, and/or app notifications. ParentSquare automatically syncs with our Student Information System (Infinite Campus) to generate an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number. We encourage parents to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified. If you are new to the district you should receive an email inviting you to your district ParentSquare account after your registration has been approved.
The Morgan County R-II School District enhanced its communication with the introduction of ParentSquare and StudentSquare (for middle and high school students only) during the 2024-2025 school year. ParentSquare and StudentSquare facilitate seamless two-way communication between families and teachers, coaches, and club sponsors in a safe and secure environment. It consolidates updates on classroom activities, athletic news, and more into a single platform, gradually replacing tools like Remind and/or other apps staff have used in the past.
The app currently offers live feed updates, district news, event calendars, classroom announcements, building information, automatic translation, direct messaging, volunteer sign-ups, push notifications, and aims to streamline the communication experience.
To learn more about ParentSquare and StudentSquare go to our ParentSquare Intro page.
Other forms of communication the school district utilizes include the district's website (www.versaillestigers.org), the Campus Parent App (your Parent Portal), the district's Tiger Roar E-Newsletter, and the district’s social media accounts.
If you have any questions about district communications you can call (573) 378-4145 or email the Communications Office (communications@versaillestigers.org).
Technology
The Morgan County R-II School District provides a Chromebook protection plan for 6th -12th grade student Chromebooks. Please complete enrollment by the start of the school year. If you need assistance, please contact the Technology Department at (573) 569-9091 or your student’s building office for assistance. You can enroll online via the One2One Risk Solutions website, during in-person registration (August 11th – August 13th) at Versailles Middle School, or send the required fee amount with your student to school during the first week.
To pay your student’s fee via One2One Risk Solutions, you will need your student’s username (the start of their student email). This will be what One2One Risk Solutions refers to as your student’s ID. If you or your student do not have this information, you can contact your student’s building office on or after Tuesday, August 4 or contact the Technology Department Office at (573) 569-9091.

Transportation – Getting The School Year Started
Please note that as we get the year started, younger students are still learning where their bus is located at the end of the day in the bus lot. This may cause buses to leave our bus lot later than usual, but should normalize as all students get used to new routines and procedures.
If you have questions regarding district transportation, please call our Transportation Office at (573) 569-7015 or email our Transportation Coordinator, Tiffany Sears.
