Morgan County R-II School District

DISTRICT OVERVIEW

The Morgan County R-2 School District covers approximately 209 square miles. It includes the communities of Versailles, Gravois Mills, Laurie, Glensted, and Excelsior. There are approximately 1,300 students in grades PreK-12.

District programs include: A+ Program, Adult Education, At-Risk, Gifted Education, Co-curricular/Extra-Curricular Activities, Parents As Teachers (PAT), Parent/Teacher Organization (PAT), Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE), Preschool, Special Education, and Booster Clubs.

Please note our special summer hours for the District Administrative Offices are:

Monday - Thursday 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Fridays - All Offices Closed

All offices are closed on the following dates, including Fridays:

Memorial Day
Independence Day (July 4th)

Depending on how the July 4^th holiday falls, all offices may also be closed on July 3rd. All building offices are closed during July and reopen on the first Monday in August. However, all offices remain closed on Fridays until the first week of school.

During the regular school year, the hours for the District Administrative Offices are:

Monday - Friday 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM

The safety of our students, faculty, and staff is our priority. Therefore, when a snow day or Alternative Method of Instruction (AMI) day is called, 12-month employees (in addition to our instructional faculty) are not required to come to work. Therefore, offices are considered closed until school is back in session

OUR SCHOOLS

This district is comprised of 1 early learning center, 1 elementary school, 1 middle school, and 1 high school. It also includes an Ag Building, a Bus Barn, a Performing Arts Center (PAC), a Sports Complex, Turf Football Field and Baseball/Softball Field.
