Versailles, MO –The Morgan County R-II School District is pleased to announce the hiring of Daniel Stantorf as the new Head Football Coach for Versailles High School. On Thursday, February 20, the Morgan County R-II School District Board of Education approved hiring Coach Stantorf as Head Football Coach. With an impressive coaching background and a proven track record of success, Coach Stantorf is excited to lead the Tigers into a new era of excellence both on and off the field.

Entering his seventh year as a coach and educator, Coach Stantorf brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He previously coached at Clinton High School for one year and at El Dorado Springs High School for five years. His experience includes four years as a Defensive Coordinator, six years as an Assistant Football Coach, and six years as a Head Wrestling Coach. In 2021, he was named the Class 1 District 4 Coach of the Year by the Missouri Wrestling Association, recognizing his leadership and coaching expertise. Coach Stantorf holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Central Methodist University.

"I am thrilled for the opportunity to lead the Versailles football program and be a mentor both on the field and in the classroom for our athletes," said Coach Stantorf. "My vision is to build Versailles football into a program that our school and community can be proud of while competing at the highest level. We will cultivate a winning culture rooted in character, integrity, and accountability. As a 'players coach,' success begins with building strong relationships and developing our players into respectable young men. I can’t wait to meet the players and get started. Go Tigers!"

Coach Stantorf is a dedicated family man. He is married to his wife, Kareegan, and together they have three children: Joseph (7), Jubilee (4), and Jemma (2). They are expecting their fourth child, June, in July 2025. When they are not involved in sports, the family enjoys spending time outdoors, fishing, and relaxing on the lake.

Aaron Allen, MCR-II Athletic Director, shared his excitement about the hire, stating, "I am thrilled to welcome Coach Stantorf as the next Head Football Coach. His decision to move his family to Versailles shows his deep commitment to our school, our student-athletes, and our community. Since 2018, we’ve had five head coaches, and Coach Stantorf will be the youngest head coach hire since Broc Silvers. With support, grace, and encouragement, I’m confident Daniel will provide the stability and foundation our football program needs for many years to come."

Coach Stantorf will begin serving as the head football coach for Versailles High School before July 1 to prepare for the upcoming football season.
