District Level News & Updates

A graduation announcement for the class of 2025, featuring a black graduation cap, gold ribbon, and confetti on a dark blue background. 2025 High School Graduation to be held Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 8 p.m. at Versailles High School on the high school football field. Rain location is the high school gym. The event will be streamed on the Morgan County R-II School District Facebook page.
 

MCCKC Pulled Pork Fundraiser for Back to School Fair - May 1

MCCKC Pulled Pork Fundraiser - Thursday, May 1
10:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. @ First Assembly
Funds raised are used to buy supplies for the Back to School Fair in Morgan County.
A flyer for a pulled pork fundraiser hosted by the Morgan County Caring for Kids Coalition. The event will be held on Thursday, May 1st from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the First Assembly of God Church.

Versailles Middle School To Host 6th Grade Bootcamp for Upcoming 6th Grade Students & Parents

If you have a student going into 6th grade next school year (25-26 SY) you don't want to miss the 6th grade Bootcamp coming up Thursday, May 15th! The event will take place at Versailles Middle School. Doors open at 5:15 p.m.

Come learn about routines procedures, expectations, classes, teachers, our 1-to-1 Chromebook program, and more! This is a great time for parents of current 5th grade students to ask questions in order for you to be prepared for your student going into middle school.

Bring your upcoming 6th grade student and learn more about middle school! We look forward to seeing you there!

Kindergarten Screening May 12th

If you have a child turning 5 on or before July 31, 2025, live in the Versailles School District, and are interested in sending them to Kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year, call (573) 378-4272 to schedule an appointment for screening and enrollment. If your student has previously attended the Little Tigers Early Learning Center, you do not need to make an appointment.

Enrollment Requirements:
  • Child's state-issued birth certificate
  • Proof of residence (e.g., utility bill, rent receipt, lease - must have your name and physical address)
  • Immunization Records
  • Child's Social Security number

Elementary Teachers Participate in 'Tat A Teacher' Art Club Fundriaser

Students, faculty, and staff throughout the district helped the middle school art club raise funds by purchasing temporary tattoos for teachers to wear on a selected date in order to raise funds for the art club. The funds raised go towards supplies for the art club. Thank you to all who participated and purchased temporary tattoos! Mrs. Pawling, the art club sponsor, and her art club students appreciate it!

VHS FCCLA Selling Spirit Blankets to Raise Funds for National Competition

Versailles High School FCCLA is selling Spirit Blankets to raise funds for travel to national competition in Orlando, Florida. Blackets are $30. Contact VHS FCCLA advisor Donna Smiley at smileyd@versaillestigers.org before April 25 to order or order from a VHS FCCLA member. Blankets are 60"x70", printed in the USA, and will be delivered by mid-May.
A spirit blanket fundraiser for the Versailles FCCLA, with a price of $30 and a deadline of April 25th.

Lady Tigers Have A Big Day At Versailles Invitational

Lady Tigers had a big day at the Versailles Invitational, bringing home the second place plaque following the Osage Lady Indians.
Both boys and girls teams performed well on their home track and had several new marks to put them in good standings in the State Rankings!
